1. Ceramic tableware should be replaced immediately if there are cracks

The beautiful colored glaze on porcelain contains lead. When cracks appear, lead may overflow and mix into food. Therefore, ceramic tableware with cracks should not be reused. The service life and maintenance of tableware are inseparable. For ceramic, metal and other kitchenware, we can prolong their service life through careful maintenance. However, in case of cracks, deformation, porcelain removal and other phenomena, they should be replaced in time, and their health should not be affected for the sake of temporary "saving".

2. Bamboo and wood tableware needs to be changed once every six months

Their service life is generally six months to a year. Household chopsticks need to be disinfected once a week. Some chopsticks will carbonize and turn black when frying delicious food, which is easy to turn black and slag, hiding dirt and accepting dirt. Once the chopsticks are cracked, deformed and discolored, they will no longer be used.

3. If the coating of metal tableware is damaged, it shall be replaced

Many people think that metal tableware is safe and can be used for life, but it is not. Take the common iron pot as an example. Once the "edible oil layer" on the surface of the iron pot that protects it from rust falls off, the rust in the pot is easy to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and other symptoms. Enamel tableware is easy to crack, and substances such as aluminum silicate coated on the outside of enamel tableware will be accidentally transferred to food. Stainless steel is made of iron chromium alloy mixed with nickel, molybdenum and other metals, which also contains components harmful to human body. Therefore, when it is found that the tableware made of metal is scratched or the surface paint or coating falls off, it should be replaced in time.
